As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.
What is a Core Charge?
A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.
30 Day Core Charge Hold
You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The exhaust manifold in an International Navistar MaxxForce 11, 13 engine plays a critical role in the vehicle's exhaust system. Specifically designed for model years 2011-2014, the OEM 3005196C2 part is essential for ensuring that exhaust gases are efficiently collected from the engine’s cylinders and directed to the turbocharger or exhaust system.
Functions of the Exhaust Manifold:
- Collects Exhaust Gases
- The manifold gathers exhaust gases from multiple cylinders into one pipe.
- Prepares Gases for Turbocharging
- It directs the gases to the turbocharger, boosting engine power.
- Reduces Noise
- By combining gases from various cylinders, the manifold helps in reducing engine noise.
This exhaust manifold is engineered to withstand high temperatures and the harsh conditions within the engine compartment. Over time, however, even a durable manifold may develop cracks or leaks, leading to reduced engine efficiency and increased emissions.
Regular inspection and timely replacement of the exhaust manifold can ensure optimal engine durability and longevity. For reliable replacements, the OEM 3005196C2 is a trusted choice for maintaining the integrity of your International Navistar MaxxForce 11, 13 engine.
The Engine Control Module (ECM) is a critical component of your vehicle’s engine management system. It monitors and controls various engine functions, ensuring optimal durability and efficiency. Like any electronic device, the ECM can wear out over time, but how often should it be replaced?
Factors Affecting ECM Lifespan:
- Vehicle Age
- Older vehicles may experience more frequent ECM issues due to aging components.
- Driving Conditions
- Harsh driving conditions, such as extreme temperatures or heavy loads, can reduce ECM lifespan.
- Maintenance Routine
- Regular maintenance can help extend the life of the ECM by ensuring other engine components function properly.
Signs That Your ECM May Need Replacement:
- Check Engine Light
- A persistent check engine light could indicate ECM problems.
- Engine Stalling or Misfiring
- If your engine stalls or misfires frequently, the ECM might be malfunctioning.
- Poor Fuel Economy
- A failing ECM can lead to inefficient fuel usage, increasing your fuel costs.
While there is no fixed interval for replacing an ECM, staying vigilant for these signs can help you determine when it’s time to consider a replacement. Regular diagnostics and maintenance are key to ensuring your ECM remains in good working order, potentially avoiding costly repairs down the road.
The manifold’s design ensures uniform gas flow from all cylinders, reducing backpressure and optimizing engine efficiency.
Common causes include thermal stress from extreme temperature fluctuations, improper torque during installation, and prolonged exposure to corrosive exhaust gases.
Proper installation requires cleaning the mounting surface, using new gaskets, applying the correct torque, and following the engine manufacturer’s guidelines.
The manifold channels exhaust gases efficiently to the turbocharger, enabling it to generate the necessary boost for enhanced engine performance.
