As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The engine oil pressure sensor is a critical component in any diesel engine, responsible for monitoring the oil pressure and ensuring that your engine runs smoothly. For Cummins engines, including the ISX, ISX12, ISX15, X12, X15, and ISM models, the oil pressure sensor plays a vital role in maintaining optimal engine performance and preventing potential damage. In this blog, we’ll explore the importance of the Cummins Engine Oil Pressure Sensor 2007-2019: OEM 4921519 and how it helps keep your engine in top condition.

The Importance of Engine Oil Pressure Monitoring

The engine oil pressure sensor continuously monitors the pressure of the oil circulating through the engine. This information is crucial for maintaining engine health and preventing costly repairs. Here’s how the OEM 4921519 sensor benefits your Cummins engine:

  • Ensures Proper Lubrication

    •  The sensor monitors oil pressure to ensure that the engine is receiving adequate lubrication. Proper lubrication reduces friction between moving parts, preventing wear and tear and extending the life of the engine.

  • Prevents Engine Damage

    • Low oil pressure can lead to serious engine damage, including overheating and component failure. The OEM 4921519 sensor detects drops in oil pressure, triggering alerts that help you take action before damage occurs.

  • Improves Engine Performance

    • By maintaining optimal oil pressure, the sensor ensures that the engine operates at peak performance. This contributes to better fuel efficiency, smoother operation, and reliable power output.

  • Alerts for Maintenance Needs

    • The sensor helps identify when oil levels or pressure are not within the optimal range, signaling the need for maintenance. This proactive approach helps prevent breakdowns and keeps your engine running efficiently.

Why Choose OEM 4921519?

Choosing the Cummins ISX, ISX12, ISX15, X12, X15, ISM Engine Oil Pressure Sensor 2007-2019: OEM 4921519 ensures that you’re using a part specifically designed for your engine. OEM parts offer superior accuracy, reliability, and durability, ensuring that your engine remains protected and operates at its best.

The Cummins ISX, ISX12, ISX15, X12, X15, ISM Engine Oil Pressure Sensor 2007-2019: OEM 4921519 is essential for maintaining the health and performance of your engine. By ensuring proper lubrication, preventing engine damage, improving performance, and providing timely maintenance alerts, this oil pressure sensor plays a crucial role in keeping your Cummins engine running smoothly. Invest in the right sensor to safeguard your engine and ensure reliable performance for the long haul.

The engine oil pressure sensor is a crucial component in your vehicle’s engine, responsible for monitoring the oil pressure and ensuring the engine is properly lubricated. When this sensor fails, it can lead to inaccurate readings and potentially serious engine damage if not addressed promptly. Recognizing the symptoms of a bad engine oil pressure sensor can help you take action before more severe issues arise.

  • Oil Pressure Warning Light

    • One of the most common symptoms of a failing oil pressure sensor is the activation of the oil pressure warning light on your dashboard. If this light comes on without any apparent reason, it could indicate that the sensor is providing false readings.

  • Fluctuating Oil Pressure Gauge

    • If you notice that your oil pressure gauge is constantly fluctuating or providing erratic readings, it may be due to a faulty oil pressure sensor. The sensor might be sending incorrect information to the gauge, leading to inconsistent oil pressure readings.

  • False Low or High Oil Pressure Readings

    • A bad oil pressure sensor can cause your gauge to show extremely low or high oil pressure, even if the engine’s oil pressure is within normal range. This can be misleading and may cause unnecessary concern or lead you to overlook actual oil pressure problems.

  • Engine Performance Issues

    • In some cases, a failing oil pressure sensor can cause the engine to enter “limp mode” as a precautionary measure. This can result in reduced engine power and performance to prevent potential damage due to low oil pressure.

  • Oil Leaks

    • A failing oil pressure sensor can sometimes cause oil leaks around the sensor itself. If you notice oil leaking from the sensor area, it’s a clear sign that the sensor may be damaged and needs to be inspected or replaced.

Recognizing the symptoms of a bad engine oil pressure sensor—such as the oil pressure warning light, fluctuating gauge readings, false oil pressure readings, engine performance issues, and oil leaks—is essential for maintaining your engine’s health. If you suspect your oil pressure sensor is failing, it’s important to have it inspected and replaced if necessary. Addressing this issue promptly can help you avoid more severe engine damage and ensure your vehicle continues to run smoothly. Regular maintenance and attention to your engine’s oil system are key to keeping your vehicle in top condition.
