SHIPPING POLICY

Tamerx Diesel Products ships via UPS Ground. Next day air shipping can be arranged for a reasonable price of anywhere from $50.00 - $100.00 depending on the weight of the product and your location. We will do everything we can to make sure that you get the service you need. We understand how important it is to receive your order as quickly as possible.
In most cases Tamerx Diesel Products only needs one address, as long as your product is shipping to the same location as your billing information. In order to eliminate credit card fraud, your billing information must match the credit card you provide.

The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.

As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) cooler in the International Navistar MaxxForce 13 engine is a key component in reducing harmful emissions while maintaining engine performance. The EGR cooler works by cooling the exhaust gases before they are reintroduced into the engine, improving combustion efficiency and reducing nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. The International Navistar MaxxForce 13 EGR Cooler (OEM 3004745C98) is vital for keeping your engine compliant with emission standards and ensuring long-term engine health.

Key Functions of the International Navistar MaxxForce 13 EGR Cooler

  • Reduces Exhaust Gas Temperatures
    • The EGR cooler lowers the temperature of the exhaust gases before they are recirculated into the engine, preventing overheating.
  • Lowers NOx Emissions
    • By cooling exhaust gases, the EGR cooler helps reduce nitrogen oxide emissions, keeping your vehicle compliant with environmental regulations.
  • Improves Fuel Combustion
    • The cooled exhaust gases help create a more efficient combustion process, enhancing engine performance and reducing fuel consumption.
  • Prevents Engine Overheating
    • Proper cooling of exhaust gases is essential for preventing excessive heat buildup, which can damage the engine over time.

Maintenance Tips for the EGR Cooler

  • Inspect for Leaks
    • Regularly check the EGR cooler for coolant or exhaust leaks that may indicate a worn or damaged component.
  • Clean Periodically
    • Carbon deposits can build up inside the cooler, reducing its efficiency. Cleaning the EGR cooler helps maintain proper airflow and cooling.
  • Monitor Engine Temperatures
    •  If your engine is running hotter than usual, it could be a sign that the EGR cooler needs attention or replacement.
  • Replace When Needed
    • If the cooler is damaged, clogged, or malfunctioning, replacing it with the OEM 3004745C98 ensures optimal performance and emission control.

The International Navistar MaxxForce 13 EGR Cooler (OEM 3004745C98) is a crucial part of your engine’s emission control system, helping reduce harmful emissions and maintain engine efficiency. Regular inspections and timely maintenance are essential to prevent engine issues and ensure compliance with emission standards. For reliable EGR coolers and other engine components, trust TamerX Diesel Parts to keep your engine running smoothly and efficiently.

The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler plays a crucial role in reducing nitrogen oxide emissions by cooling the exhaust gases before they are recirculated back into the engine. Like any engine component, the EGR cooler has a limited lifespan and may need replacement over time. Understanding how long an EGR cooler typically lasts and what factors influence its longevity can help you maintain your vehicle and prevent costly repairs.

Factors That Affect the Lifespan of an EGR Cooler:

  • Driving Conditions

    • Vehicles that are frequently used for towing, stop-and-go traffic, or in extreme weather conditions may experience shorter EGR cooler lifespans due to increased engine stress.

  • Maintenance Habits

    • Regular maintenance, including coolant flushes and cleaning the EGR system, can significantly extend the life of your EGR cooler. Poor maintenance can lead to premature wear and failure.

  • Fuel Quality:

    • Using high-quality fuel can prevent carbon buildup inside the EGR cooler, improving its efficiency and extending its life. Low-quality fuel can contribute to soot accumulation, which shortens its lifespan.

  • Engine Load

    • The more strain you put on your engine, the harder the EGR cooler has to work. Heavy loads and constant high-speed driving can accelerate the wear on the cooler.

  • Average Lifespan

    • On average, an EGR cooler can last between 80,000 to 120,000 miles, depending on how well the vehicle is maintained and how it is driven.

The lifespan of an EGR cooler typically ranges from 80,000 to 120,000 miles, but driving conditions, maintenance, and fuel quality can greatly influence its longevity. Regular maintenance, such as coolant system flushes and using high-quality fuel, can help prolong the life of the EGR cooler. By staying on top of vehicle care, you can ensure your EGR cooler functions efficiently, reducing emissions and avoiding expensive repairs.
