The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor (EBP) in your International Navistar T444E engine is crucial for monitoring exhaust pressure and ensuring optimal engine performance. The OEM 1C3Z-9J460-AA sensor plays a significant role in adjusting the fuel injection system for better efficiency and reduced emissions. Keeping this sensor in good condition is key to ensuring your engine runs smoothly.

Common Maintenance Tips for Your T444E EBP Sensor

  • Regular Cleaning
    • The EBP sensor can get clogged with soot and debris over time, causing inaccurate readings. Regular cleaning will help prevent sensor failure.
  • Check for Fault Codes
    • If your check engine light comes on, it could be related to the EBP sensor. Use a diagnostic tool to check for any related fault codes.
  • Inspect Wiring
    • Faulty wiring can lead to sensor failure. Make sure the connections to the sensor are secure and free from corrosion or damage.
  • Replace as Needed
    • Like most engine components, the EBP sensor will wear out over time. If cleaning and inspection don’t solve the problem, it’s time to replace it with the OEM 1C3Z-9J460-AA.

Benefits of Maintaining Your EBP Sensor

  • Improved Fuel Efficiency
    • A clean and functional EBP sensor ensures that the engine operates efficiently, leading to better fuel economy.
  • Reduced Emissions
    • The sensor helps manage the exhaust system, reducing harmful emissions from the engine.
  • Enhanced Engine Performance
    • A properly working EBP sensor contributes to smoother acceleration and consistent engine power.

Maintaining the Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor in your International Navistar T444E engine (OEM 1C3Z-9J460-AA) is essential for reliable performance, fuel efficiency, and emission control. Regular maintenance and timely replacements ensure your engine runs at peak performance. TamerX Diesel Parts offers high-quality OEM parts to keep your engine components in top shape for the long haul.

The exhaust back pressure sensor (EBP) plays a crucial role in monitoring the pressure within the exhaust system and ensuring proper engine performance, especially in diesel engines. When the EBP sensor fails, it can disrupt the engine's functionality and lead to various issues that can impact overall efficiency and performance. Understanding the symptoms of a failing exhaust back pressure sensor can help you address the issue before it leads to more serious engine problems.

Common Symptoms of a Failing Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor

  • Reduced Engine Performance

    • A failing EBP sensor can cause incorrect readings, leading to reduced engine power and sluggish acceleration due to improper exhaust flow regulation.

  • Poor Fuel Efficiency

    • When the sensor fails, it can disrupt the engine’s air-fuel ratio, causing the engine to use more fuel than necessary and resulting in reduced fuel economy.

  • Check Engine Light

    • A malfunctioning EBP sensor often triggers the check engine light, signaling that the exhaust system is not functioning as intended.

  • Excessive Exhaust Smoke

    • A faulty EBP sensor can lead to improper combustion, causing excessive smoke from the exhaust, typically indicating that the engine is running too rich or too lean.

  • Rough Idling or Stalling

    • If the exhaust pressure isn’t being regulated properly, it can cause the engine to idle roughly or stall, especially when the vehicle is idling or running at low speeds.

  • Increased Emissions

    • An incorrect reading from the EBP sensor can result in higher emissions, making the vehicle more likely to fail emissions testing and negatively impacting the environment.

When an exhaust back pressure sensor fails, it can lead to reduced engine performance, poor fuel efficiency, increased emissions, and excessive exhaust smoke. If you notice any of these symptoms, it's important to have the sensor inspected and replaced by a professional to avoid more significant engine issues. Timely maintenance and repairs will help ensure your diesel engine continues to perform efficiently while keeping emissions in check.
