SHIPPING POLICY

Tamerx Diesel Products ships via UPS Ground. Next day air shipping can be arranged for a reasonable price of anywhere from $50.00 - $100.00 depending on the weight of the product and your location. We will do everything we can to make sure that you get the service you need. We understand how important it is to receive your order as quickly as possible.
In most cases Tamerx Diesel Products only needs one address, as long as your product is shipping to the same location as your billing information. In order to eliminate credit card fraud, your billing information must match the credit card you provide.

The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.

As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

Maintaining strict control over emissions is a critical requirement for modern diesel engines, and the Cummins ISB 6.7L and ISL engines are no exception. The NOx Sensor (OEM 5462436RX) plays a crucial role in reducing harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions, ensuring that your engine remains compliant with emissions standards. In this blog, we’ll explore how the NOx sensor works and why it is essential for your engine’s performance and efficiency.

Key Functions of the Cummins ISB 6.7L, ISL NOx Sensor (OEM 5462436RX):

  • Monitors NOx Levels

    • The NOx sensor continuously measures the levels of nitrogen oxide in the exhaust gases and provides real-time data to the engine control module (ECM). This information helps the ECM adjust the engine’s operation to minimize harmful emissions.

  • Ensures Emissions Compliance

    • Environmental regulations require diesel engines to meet specific NOx emissions standards. The OEM 5462436RX sensor ensures that your Cummins ISB 6.7L or ISL engine operates within these limits, keeping your vehicle compliant with emissions laws.

  • Improves Fuel Efficiency

    • By monitoring and controlling NOx emissions, the sensor allows the engine to optimize its fuel-air mixture, improving combustion efficiency and leading to better fuel economy.

  • Prevents System Failures

    • A faulty NOx sensor can cause incorrect readings, which may lead to poor engine performance and even damage to exhaust aftertreatment systems like the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system. The OEM 5462436RX ensures accurate readings and helps prevent these issues.

  • Engineered for Cummins Engines

    • The OEM 5462436RX NOx sensor is specifically designed for Cummins ISB 6.7L and ISL engines, ensuring a perfect fit and optimal performance.

The Cummins ISB 6.7L, ISL NOx Sensor (OEM 5462436RX) is vital for controlling emissions, improving fuel efficiency, and preventing potential engine and exhaust system damage. By using a high-quality OEM sensor, you ensure your engine remains compliant with emissions regulations while operating efficiently. TamerX Diesel Parts offers the OEM 5462436RX, providing you with the right part to keep your engine performing at its best.

The NOx sensor is a critical component in modern vehicles, responsible for monitoring nitrogen oxide emissions to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. When a NOx sensor fails, it can lead to a variety of problems that affect both your vehicle’s performance and its environmental impact. In this blog, we’ll discuss what happens when a NOx sensor fails and the potential issues that can arise.

Effects of a Failing NOx Sensor:

  • Increased Emissions

    •  One of the primary functions of the NOx sensor is to reduce harmful emissions. When the sensor fails, your vehicle may release higher levels of nitrogen oxides, which contribute to air pollution and can cause your vehicle to fail emissions tests.

  • Check Engine Light

    • A failing NOx sensor will likely trigger the check engine light on your dashboard. While this light can indicate a range of issues, a diagnostic scan will reveal if the NOx sensor is the culprit.

  • Reduced Engine Performance

    • A bad NOx sensor can cause your vehicle’s engine control unit (ECU) to make incorrect adjustments to the air-fuel mixture. This can lead to poor engine performance, such as reduced power, sluggish acceleration, or inconsistent idling.

  • Poor Fuel Efficiency

    • When the NOx sensor fails, it may cause the engine to run inefficiently, leading to increased fuel consumption. You might notice that your vehicle’s fuel economy drops, requiring more frequent refueling.

  • Emission System Malfunctions

    • A faulty NOx sensor can interfere with the operation of other emissions control components, such as the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system. This can lead to further problems with your vehicle’s ability to manage harmful emissions.

  • Potential for Limp Mode

    •  In some cases, the ECU may limit the engine’s performance by placing it in "limp mode" to protect the engine and emissions system. This can reduce speed and power, making it difficult to drive until repairs are made.

A failing NOx sensor can lead to increased emissions, poor engine performance, and reduced fuel efficiency. Ignoring the issue can result in failed emissions tests and even engine problems if left unchecked. If your NOx sensor fails, it’s important to address the problem promptly to keep your vehicle running efficiently and within emissions standards. Regular maintenance and timely repairs can help prevent these issues and ensure your vehicle stays in optimal condition.
