The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.

As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The turbo speed sensor in the Paccar MX13 and MX11 engines is a critical component that monitors the rotational speed of the turbocharger. The Paccar MX13, MX11 Turbo Speed Sensor (OEM 2301182PE) ensures that your turbo operates within its optimal speed range, helping to maintain engine efficiency and protect the turbo from potential damage. Understanding the function of this sensor and maintaining it properly can help prevent costly repairs and extend the life of your turbo system.

Key Functions of the Turbo Speed Sensor

  • Monitors Turbo Speed
    •  This sensor tracks the rotational speed of the turbo, ensuring it stays within safe operating limits.
  • Prevents Over-Speeding
    •  By monitoring the turbo's speed, the sensor prevents over-speeding, which could lead to turbo failure or engine damage.
  • Improves Engine Efficiency
    •  Ensuring that the turbo operates at optimal speed helps maintain fuel efficiency and boost engine performance.
  • Reduces Wear and Tear
    •  Proper turbo speed regulation reduces the wear on the turbocharger, extending its life and ensuring reliable operation.

Maintenance Tips for the Turbo Speed Sensor

  • Regular Inspections
    •  Inspect the turbo speed sensor regularly for signs of wear or damage, which could affect its accuracy.
  • Check Electrical Connections
    • Ensure that the sensor’s electrical connections are clean and free of corrosion to prevent signal loss or faulty readings.
  • Monitor Turbo Performance
    •  If the turbo shows signs of inconsistent performance, such as fluctuating boost pressure or unusual noises, it may be time to inspect or replace the sensor.
  • Replace When Necessary
    • If the sensor is damaged or worn out, replacing it with the OEM 2301182PE sensor will restore accurate monitoring and protect your turbocharger from damage.

The Paccar MX13, MX11 Turbo Speed Sensor (OEM 2301182PE) is essential for maintaining optimal turbocharger operation and ensuring engine efficiency. Regular inspections, proper maintenance, and timely replacement will help protect your turbo from damage and keep your engine running smoothly. For high-quality turbo speed sensors and other essential parts, TamerX Diesel Parts offers reliable solutions to meet your needs.

The turbo speed sensor is a crucial component in modern turbocharged engines, responsible for monitoring the speed of the turbocharger and providing real-time data to the engine control unit (ECU). This helps optimize performance and prevent damage by regulating the turbo’s operation. When the turbo speed sensor fails, it can cause serious engine performance issues and damage to the turbocharger. Understanding what causes a turbo speed sensor to fail can help prevent these problems and ensure your engine runs efficiently.

Common Causes of Turbo Speed Sensor Failure

Several factors can lead to the failure of a turbo speed sensor. Here are some of the most common causes:

  • Heat Damage
    • The turbocharger operates at extremely high temperatures, and over time, the heat can cause damage to the speed sensor’s electronics, leading to failure.
  • Vibration and Wear
    • The high-speed rotation of the turbocharger generates significant vibration. Over time, this vibration can cause wear and tear on the sensor’s components, leading to malfunctions.
  • Contamination
    • Dirt, oil, or debris can contaminate the turbo speed sensor, interfering with its ability to accurately read the turbo’s speed. This contamination can come from leaks or other engine system failures.
  • Electrical Problems
    •  Faulty wiring, loose connections, or corrosion in the electrical system can prevent the sensor from receiving or sending accurate signals to the ECU, leading to sensor failure.
  • Mechanical Failure
    •  Internal mechanical issues within the turbocharger itself, such as worn bearings or imbalance, can affect the sensor’s performance and lead to its failure over time.
  • Poor Maintenance
    •  Lack of regular maintenance, such as not addressing oil leaks or not cleaning the turbo system, can cause long-term damage to the sensor and other engine components.

A failing turbo speed sensor can lead to serious performance issues, as it directly impacts the turbocharger’s ability to operate efficiently. Heat damage, contamination, and electrical problems are common causes of failure. By following proper maintenance practices and staying alert to early signs of failure, you can prevent costly repairs and ensure that your turbo system continues to function optimally. Regular inspections and timely repairs will keep both the turbo and its speed sensor in top shape for the long haul.
