SHIPPING POLICY

Tamerx Diesel Products ships via UPS Ground. Next day air shipping can be arranged for a reasonable price of anywhere from $50.00 - $100.00 depending on the weight of the product and your location. We will do everything we can to make sure that you get the service you need. We understand how important it is to receive your order as quickly as possible.
In most cases Tamerx Diesel Products only needs one address, as long as your product is shipping to the same location as your billing information. In order to eliminate credit card fraud, your billing information must match the credit card you provide.

The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.

As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

For diesel engines, cold weather can present significant challenges, particularly when it comes to starting the engine. The glow plug is a crucial component that ensures your engine can start reliably, even in the coldest conditions. In this blog, we’ll focus on the International Navistar VT365 Glow Plug 2004-2010: OEM ZD13, and how it plays an essential role in maintaining your engine’s performance during cold starts.

The Role of the Glow Plug in Diesel Engines

Glow plugs are designed to preheat the combustion chamber in diesel engines, making it easier to start the engine in cold weather. The International Navistar VT365 Glow Plug, OEM ZD13, is specifically engineered for the VT365 engine, ensuring optimal performance. Here’s why this glow plug is essential:

  • Reliable Cold Starts

    •  The OEM ZD13 glow plug ensures that your VT365 engine starts smoothly, even in low temperatures. By heating the air in the combustion chamber, it helps ignite the fuel more easily, reducing the strain on your engine during start-up.

  • Improves Engine Performance

    • A properly functioning glow plug not only aids in starting the engine but also helps the engine run more efficiently in cold weather. This leads to smoother operation and better overall performance.

  • Reduces Engine Wear:

    • Cold starts can be harsh on engine components. The OEM ZD13 glow plug minimizes this wear by ensuring that the engine starts quickly and smoothly, reducing the stress on vital parts like the starter and battery.

  • Ensures Fuel Efficiency

    •  By helping the engine start more efficiently, the glow plug contributes to better fuel combustion. This not only improves fuel efficiency but also reduces emissions, making your engine more environmentally friendly.

Why Choose OEM ZD13?

Choosing the International Navistar VT365 Glow Plug, OEM ZD13, ensures that you are using a part specifically designed for your engine. OEM parts are built to exact specifications, providing the reliability and durability you need for consistent cold weather performance.

The International Navistar VT365 Glow Plug 2004-2010: OEM ZD13 is a vital component for ensuring reliable cold starts and maintaining engine performance in cold weather. By reducing engine wear, improving fuel efficiency, and ensuring smooth operation, this glow plug helps keep your VT365 engine running efficiently, no matter the temperature. Invest in the right glow plug to ensure your engine is ready to perform when you need it most.

Glow plugs are essential components in diesel engines, responsible for heating the air in the combustion chamber to ensure efficient starting, especially in cold conditions. When a glow plug goes bad, it can lead to a range of issues that affect your engine's performance and reliability. Identifying the symptoms of a failing glow plug early can help you avoid starting problems and maintain your diesel engine's efficiency.

  • Difficulty Starting the Engine

    • One of the most common signs of a bad glow plug is difficulty starting the engine, particularly in cold weather. If the glow plug is not generating enough heat, the air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber may not ignite properly, leading to prolonged cranking or failure to start.

  • Rough Idling After Start

    • A faulty glow plug can cause the engine to idle roughly immediately after starting. This occurs because the cylinders are not reaching the optimal temperature needed for smooth combustion, resulting in uneven engine operation.

  • Increased Exhaust Smoke

    • A bad glow plug can lead to incomplete combustion, which often manifests as increased exhaust smoke. If you notice excessive white or gray smoke when starting your diesel engine, it could be a sign that one or more glow plugs are failing.

  • Engine Misfires

    • A malfunctioning glow plug can cause one or more cylinders to misfire, especially during the initial warm-up period. Engine misfires can lead to a loss of power and rough running, particularly when the engine is cold.

  • Check Engine Light

    • In many modern diesel vehicles, a failing glow plug can trigger the Check Engine Light. The vehicle's onboard diagnostic system can detect issues with the glow plug circuit and alert you to the problem.

Recognizing the symptoms of a bad glow plug is crucial for maintaining the performance and reliability of your diesel engine. From difficulty starting and rough idling to increased exhaust smoke and engine misfires, these warning signs indicate that it may be time to inspect and replace your glow plugs. Addressing glow plug issues promptly can prevent more severe engine problems and ensure your diesel engine continues to operate efficiently, even in cold weather. Regular maintenance and attention to these symptoms will help you avoid unexpected breakdowns and keep your vehicle running smoothly.
