In most cases Tamerx Diesel Products only needs one address, as long as your product is shipping to the same location as your billing information. In order to eliminate credit card fraud, your billing information must match the credit card you provide.

The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The Ford Powerstroke 6.0L and 7.3L engines are known for their power and reliability, but like any vehicle, they rely on a clean and consistent fuel supply. One of the key components ensuring that your engine gets the fuel it needs is the Fuel Tank Pickup Screen Foot, also known as the “fuel tank strainer,” OEM E5TZ-9J306-BA. This part plays a vital role in filtering out debris and contaminants from the fuel before it reaches the engine.

The Function of the Fuel Tank Pickup Screen Foot

The fuel tank pickup screen foot is located inside the fuel tank and is designed to filter the fuel as it is drawn into the fuel lines. It prevents larger debris from clogging the fuel system, protecting vital components such as the fuel injectors and fuel pump.

How to Maintain Your Fuel Tank Pickup Screen Foot

  • Regular Fuel Filter Changes
    • Keeping your fuel filter clean can help reduce the load on the pickup screen by capturing smaller particles before they reach the screen.
  • Check for Contaminants
    •  If you notice reduced performance, it might be worth inspecting the fuel tank for debris or water, which can affect the screen’s performance.
  • Replace When Necessary
    •  If you’re experiencing signs of a clogged screen, it’s essential to replace it promptly to avoid more severe engine issues.

The Ford Powerstroke 6.0L, 7.3L Fuel Tank Pickup Screen Foot (OEM E5TZ-9J306-BA) is a small but essential component in maintaining your engine’s fuel system. By ensuring a clean and unrestricted fuel flow, this part helps keep your Powerstroke running smoothly and efficiently. Regular inspection and maintenance can prevent costly repairs down the line and ensure your engine continues to perform at its best. At TamerX Diesel Parts, we provide the highest quality OEM parts to keep your vehicle in top condition.

The fuel tank pickup screen, also known as the fuel pickup "foot," plays a vital role in ensuring that clean fuel flows from the tank to the engine. Over time, debris and contaminants can clog this screen, restricting fuel flow and leading to a range of engine performance issues. In this blog, we’ll explore the common symptoms of a clogged fuel tank pickup screen foot and why it’s important to address these issues promptly.

  • Engine Stalling or Hesitation

    •  One of the most noticeable signs of a clogged fuel tank pickup screen is intermittent stalling or hesitation, especially during acceleration. This happens because the engine isn't receiving a steady supply of fuel.

  • Loss of Power

    • A restricted fuel flow due to a clogged pickup screen can lead to a noticeable drop in engine power. This can be particularly evident when the engine is under load, such as when driving uphill or towing.

  • Hard Starting or No Start

    •  If the fuel tank pickup screen becomes severely clogged, the engine may struggle to start or fail to start altogether. This is because the fuel supply is too restricted to ignite the engine properly.

  • Frequent Misfires

    •  A clogged fuel pickup screen can cause fuel starvation, leading to engine misfires. This results in rough idling, jerking, or even sudden engine shutdowns.

  • Fuel Pump Strain or Failure

    • When the fuel pickup screen is clogged, the fuel pump has to work harder to draw fuel through the blockage. This added strain can eventually lead to premature fuel pump failure.

  • Decreased Fuel Efficiency

    • If your vehicle’s fuel consumption increases unexpectedly, it could be due to an insufficient fuel supply caused by a clogged pickup screen. The engine may compensate for the lack of fuel by working harder, reducing fuel efficiency.

  • Check Engine Light

    •  In some cases, a clogged fuel tank pickup screen can trigger the check engine light, as sensors detect issues with fuel delivery or engine performance.

A clogged fuel tank pickup screen foot can lead to serious performance issues, including stalling, loss of power, and even fuel pump failure. Addressing these symptoms early can prevent costly repairs and keep your vehicle running smoothly. At TamerX Diesel Parts, we offer high-quality fuel system components to ensure your engine receives a steady flow of clean fuel. Regular maintenance and timely repairs are key to maintaining optimal performance.
