As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.
What is a Core Charge?
A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.
30 Day Core Charge Hold
You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The Mack MP7 and MP8 Turbo Speed Sensor plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper operation of your engine's turbocharger. The OEM 85151481 turbo speed sensor helps monitor the rotational speed of the turbocharger, providing essential data to the engine control unit (ECU). Without accurate information from the sensor, the ECU cannot properly manage turbo pressure, which can lead to various engine issues.
Key Components of the Mack MP7, MP8 Turbo Speed Sensor:
- Sensor Housing
- Protects internal components and ensures durability against high heat and vibrations.
- Electrical Connectors
- Transmit data from the sensor to the ECU for real-time monitoring.
- Sensing Element
- Detects the speed of the turbocharger's rotating components.
- Mounting Bracket
- Secures the sensor to the turbocharger for stable and accurate readings.
Regular checks and timely replacement of the turbo speed sensor can help prevent engine issues related to turbocharger mismanagement. Symptoms of a failing turbo speed sensor can include loss of power, irregular turbo function, and engine warning lights. For a reliable solution, consider investing in high-quality OEM replacement parts like the Mack MP7, MP8 Turbo Speed Sensor.
A failing turbo speed sensor can lead to various issues in your vehicle’s turbocharger system. This sensor plays a critical role in monitoring the speed of the turbo, helping the engine control module (ECM) make necessary adjustments to ensure smooth engine operation. When the sensor starts to fail, it can affect the overall functionality of the turbocharger.
Symptoms of a Failing Turbo Speed Sensor:
- Engine warning light
- One of the first signs is often the illumination of the check engine light on the dashboard.
- Loss of power
- You may experience a noticeable reduction in engine power, especially during acceleration.
- Irregular boost levels
- The turbo may deliver inconsistent levels of boost, making your vehicle feel sluggish or unpredictable.
- Increased fuel consumption
- A malfunctioning sensor can cause the ECM to adjust incorrectly, leading to higher fuel usage.
- Poor throttle response
- The engine may hesitate when you press the accelerator, causing delays in power delivery.
If you notice any of these symptoms, it’s important to address the issue promptly. Ignoring a failing turbo speed sensor can lead to further damage within the turbo system. At Tamerx Diesel Products, we offer reliable solutions for turbocharger-related components to keep your vehicle running smoothly.
