As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.
What is a Core Charge?
A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.
30 Day Core Charge Hold
You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The engine valve cover gasket, specifically OEM 4026507, plays a crucial role in the Cummins ISX engine. This gasket seals the space between the valve cover and the cylinder head, preventing oil leaks that could lead to engine damage. It ensures that the oil remains contained within the engine, providing proper lubrication to the engine's moving parts.
A well-functioning valve cover gasket is essential for maintaining engine efficiency and preventing potential issues. When the gasket wears out, it can result in oil leaks, which may cause the engine to overheat or suffer from insufficient lubrication.
Key Points:
- Seals the valve cover to the cylinder head.
- Prevents oil leaks in the engine.
- Essential for proper engine lubrication.
- Contributes to overall engine efficiency.
Regular inspection and timely replacement of the valve cover gasket, such as OEM 4026507, can help avoid costly repairs and ensure the longevity of your Cummins ISX engine. If you notice any signs of oil leakage, it's crucial to address the issue promptly to maintain optimal engine durability.
A failed engine valve cover gasket can lead to significant issues if not addressed promptly. This crucial component seals the valve cover to the engine, preventing oil leaks and maintaining proper engine pressure. When the gasket fails, it can result in several noticeable symptoms that indicate it's time for a replacement.
Common Symptoms of a Failed Valve Cover Gasket:
- Oil Leaks
- One of the most common signs of a failing valve cover gasket is oil leaking from the top of the engine. This can cause oil to accumulate around the valve cover and even drip onto other engine components.
- Burning Oil Smell
- If oil leaks from the gasket onto hot engine parts, it can produce a burning oil smell, which is a clear indicator of a problem.
- Engine Misfires
- Oil leaking into the spark plug wells can cause engine misfires, leading to rough idling and decreased engine efficiency.
- Low Oil Levels
- A failing gasket can lead to consistent oil loss, resulting in low oil levels. If you find yourself frequently topping off oil, the valve cover gasket might be the culprit.
Addressing these symptoms early can prevent further engine damage. If you notice any of these signs, it’s essential to inspect the valve cover gasket and consider a replacement to maintain your engine's health and functionality.
