The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The turbo boot in your International Navistar MaxxForce 11 or 13 engine plays a critical role in maintaining the efficiency of the turbocharger system. Acting as a connector between key components, the turbo boot ensures that pressurized air flows smoothly, enabling optimal performance. Over time, wear and tear can lead to leaks, which can result in poor engine efficiency and even damage. Keeping the turbo boot in good condition is essential for ensuring your engine runs smoothly.

Key Functions of the International Navistar MaxxForce Turbo Boot

  • Seals the Connection Between Turbo Components
    •  The turbo boot ensures a secure connection between the turbocharger and intercooler, preventing any air leaks.
  • Maintains Boost Pressure
    •  By keeping the airflow pressurized, it ensures that the engine receives the necessary boost for optimal performance.
  • Prevents Contaminants from Entering
    •  A well-maintained turbo boot prevents dirt, debris, and contaminants from entering the turbo system, which could cause damage.
  • Promotes Fuel Efficiency
    • A secure, leak-free turbo boot helps the engine maintain fuel efficiency by ensuring proper air-to-fuel ratio.

Maintenance Tips for the International Navistar MaxxForce Turbo Boot

  • Regular Inspections
    • Inspect the turbo boot periodically for signs of wear, cracks, or leaks to catch potential issues early.
  • Clean Surrounding Components
    • Keeping the surrounding area clean can help prevent dirt and contaminants from damaging the boot.
  • Replace Worn Components
    •  If the boot shows signs of damage, replacing it with OEM part 3841939C2 ensures the turbo system stays sealed and efficient.
  • Monitor Engine Performance
    •  If you notice a drop in engine performance or fuel efficiency, it could be a sign that the turbo boot needs attention.

Maintaining the turbo boot in your International Navistar MaxxForce 11 or 13 engine is vital for the overall health and performance of your turbocharger system. Regular inspections and timely replacement of the turbo boot can prevent air leaks, boost engine efficiency, and ensure long-term durability. TamerX Diesel Parts offers high-quality OEM parts like the International Navistar MaxxForce 11, 13 Turbo Boot (3841939C2) to keep your engine running at its best.

The turbo boot is a crucial component in turbocharged engines, ensuring that pressurized air from the turbocharger reaches the engine’s intake. When the turbo boot fails or starts leaking, it can significantly affect engine performance and efficiency. Recognizing the symptoms of a failing or leaking turbo boot can help prevent further damage to your turbo system and engine.

Common Symptoms of a Failing or Leaking Turbo Boot:

  • Loss of Power

    • One of the most noticeable signs of a leaking turbo boot is a drop in engine power. When the boot leaks, the turbocharger can’t deliver the necessary boost pressure, resulting in reduced acceleration and overall performance.

  • Hissing or Whistling Noise

    • A failing turbo boot may produce a hissing or whistling sound, especially when the engine is under load. This noise is caused by air escaping from the leak, indicating a pressure loss.

  • Excessive Exhaust Smoke

    •  A leaking turbo boot can cause the engine to run rich, leading to excessive exhaust smoke. This smoke is often darker and more noticeable under heavy acceleration.

  • Poor Fuel Efficiency

    •  Without proper boost pressure, the engine may burn more fuel to compensate for the loss of power, leading to reduced fuel efficiency.

  • Check Engine Light

    • A leaking turbo boot can trigger the check engine light as the vehicle’s sensors detect improper air pressure or reduced boost, indicating a fault in the turbo system.

A failing or leaking turbo boot can lead to a loss of power, hissing noises, excessive exhaust smoke, poor fuel efficiency, and even a check engine light. If you notice any of these symptoms, it’s essential to inspect and replace the turbo boot promptly. Addressing the issue early can help maintain engine performance and prevent further damage to your turbocharger and related components. Regular inspection and maintenance are key to keeping your turbo system running smoothly.
