The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The International Navistar MaxxForce 11, 13 Turbo Assembly for the 2008-2010 models, OEM 3004742C96, plays a crucial role in enhancing the engine's efficiency. This turbo assembly is designed to optimize air intake, which directly impacts engine power and fuel economy. Understanding its function is essential for maintaining your vehicle’s peak operation.

Key components and functions of the International Navistar MaxxForce 11, 13 Turbo Assembly include:

  • Compressor Wheel
    • Draws in and compresses air before it enters the engine, ensuring a dense air charge for combustion.
  • Turbine Wheel
    • Driven by exhaust gases, this component powers the compressor, contributing to increased air intake.
  • Center Housing
    • Houses the bearings and lubrication passages, ensuring smooth operation and reducing wear.
  • Wastegate
    • Regulates the amount of exhaust gas entering the turbine, preventing over-boost and protecting the engine.

By efficiently managing air intake and exhaust flow, the turbo assembly helps maintain optimal engine output while also contributing to better fuel efficiency. Regular inspection and timely replacement of this turbo assembly are essential for avoiding potential engine issues and ensuring your vehicle runs smoothly.

The turbo assembly is a vital component of your vehicle's engine, helping to boost efficiency and power. However, like all mechanical parts, it has a limited lifespan. Knowing when to replace your turbo assembly is crucial to maintaining your vehicle’s reliability and avoiding costly repairs.

Factors Affecting Turbo Assembly Lifespan

Several factors influence how long a turbo assembly lasts, including:

  • Driving Conditions
    • Frequent high-speed driving or heavy towing can wear out the turbo faster.
  • Maintenance
    • Regular oil changes and using high-quality oil can extend the life of your turbo.
  • Mileage
    • Turbos often need replacement after 100,000 to 150,000 miles, depending on use.

Signs It's Time to Replace

Watch for these signs that indicate your turbo assembly may need replacement:

  • Increased Exhaust Smoke
    • Often a sign of oil leaks in the turbo.
  • Whining Noise
    • A high-pitched noise could indicate bearing wear.
  • Loss of Power
    • A noticeable drop in engine power might mean the turbo is failing.

Regular inspections and maintenance can help you catch issues early, ensuring your turbo assembly lasts as long as possible. When the time comes to replace it, choosing a high-quality part is essential for keeping your vehicle running smoothly.

The turbocharger increases engine power and efficiency by compressing intake air, allowing for better combustion.

Symptoms include loss of power, excessive exhaust smoke, increased oil consumption, and unusual noises from the turbo area.

Regular inspections during routine maintenance are recommended; replacement is necessary if performance issues or damage are detected.

A defective turbocharger can lead to reduced engine performance, increased emissions, and potential engine damage if not addressed promptly.
