In most cases Tamerx Diesel Products only needs one address, as long as your product is shipping to the same location as your billing information. In order to eliminate credit card fraud, your billing information must match the credit card you provide.

The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.

As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The Detroit 60 Series Exhaust Manifold (OEM 23533974) plays a crucial role in your diesel engine’s performance and longevity. Its primary function is to collect exhaust gases from the engine’s cylinders and direct them into the exhaust system, making it essential for efficient engine operation. Without a well-maintained exhaust manifold, your engine could experience reduced power, increased fuel consumption, and harmful emissions.

Functionality and Importance of the Exhaust Manifold

The exhaust manifold is vital for the overall health and efficiency of your Detroit 60 Series engine. Here's why this component matters:

  • Efficient Exhaust Flow
    • The exhaust manifold collects gases from multiple cylinders and funnels them into a single exhaust pipe, promoting better exhaust flow and reducing backpressure.
  • Improved Engine Performance
    • A properly functioning exhaust manifold helps the engine expel gases more efficiently, leading to better engine power and smoother performance.
  • Heat Management
    •  By directing hot gases away from the engine, the manifold helps prevent engine overheating, protecting other critical components.
  • Emissions Control
    •  The manifold plays an essential role in reducing emissions by ensuring that exhaust gases are efficiently expelled, keeping the engine compliant with environmental standards.

Tips for Maintaining the Detroit 60 Series Exhaust Manifold

To ensure your OEM 23533974 exhaust manifold remains in top condition, follow these maintenance tips:

  • Regular Inspections
    • Check for any visible cracks, rust, or signs of wear that could affect the manifold’s function.
  • Tighten Bolts
    • Over time, the bolts securing the manifold can loosen due to heat and vibration. Regularly tightening these bolts will help prevent leaks.
  • Look for Leaks
    • Keep an eye (and ear) out for exhaust leaks, which can cause performance issues and increased emissions. Black soot around the manifold area may indicate a leak.
  • Replace Gaskets
    • Ensure gaskets are intact and replace them if they show signs of wear, as failing gaskets can lead to leaks and performance issues.
  • Cleanliness Matters
    • Clean the manifold to remove any carbon buildup that could affect its efficiency over time.

The Detroit 60 Series Exhaust Manifold (OEM 23533974) is a key component for maintaining your engine’s performance and efficiency. Regular maintenance and timely replacements can prevent costly issues and ensure your engine runs smoothly. Trust TamerX Diesel Parts for top-quality components like the Detroit 60 Series Exhaust Manifold, ensuring that your engine performs at its best.

The exhaust manifold is a critical part of your engine’s exhaust system, responsible for collecting exhaust gases from the engine’s cylinders and directing them to the exhaust pipe. Over time, exhaust manifolds can develop cracks, leaks, or other issues that can affect your vehicle’s performance. In this blog, we’ll explore the common symptoms of a failing exhaust manifold and how to recognize when it’s time for repairs.

  • Loud Exhaust Noise

    • One of the most obvious signs of a failing exhaust manifold is an increase in exhaust noise. If you hear loud, unusual noises coming from the engine, especially when accelerating, it could be due to a crack or leak in the exhaust manifold.

  • Decreased Engine Performance

    • A leaking exhaust manifold can lead to a loss of engine performance. You may notice a drop in power, sluggish acceleration, or poor fuel efficiency.

  • Visible Cracks or Damage

    • In some cases, you may be able to visually inspect the exhaust manifold and see cracks, warping, or damage. This often indicates that the manifold is no longer sealing properly, causing leaks.

  • Exhaust Odor in the Cabin

    •  If exhaust fumes are leaking from the manifold, you may smell exhaust inside the vehicle’s cabin. This is a serious issue, as inhaling exhaust gases can be harmful. It’s essential to address this problem immediately.

  • Check Engine Light

    • A failing exhaust manifold can trigger the check engine light. The vehicle’s sensors may detect a problem with the exhaust system, signaling the need for inspection and repairs.

  • Excessive Engine Heat

    • A damaged exhaust manifold can lead to heat buildup in the engine bay. This can cause nearby components to overheat, leading to further engine issues.

  • Tapping or Ticking Noises

    • A cracked or leaking exhaust manifold may produce a tapping or ticking noise, especially when the engine is cold or under load. This noise is caused by escaping exhaust gases.

A failing exhaust manifold can cause various problems, from loud noises and poor engine performance to dangerous exhaust leaks. Recognizing the symptoms early and addressing them promptly can prevent further engine damage and costly repairs. If you suspect an issue with your exhaust manifold, it’s important to seek repairs as soon as possible. At TamerX Diesel Parts, we provide high-quality exhaust manifolds and components to keep your engine running efficiently and safely. Stay proactive and ensure your exhaust system is in top condition for optimal performance.
