SHIPPING POLICY

Tamerx Diesel Products ships via UPS Ground. Next day air shipping can be arranged for a reasonable price of anywhere from $50.00 - $100.00 depending on the weight of the product and your location. We will do everything we can to make sure that you get the service you need. We understand how important it is to receive your order as quickly as possible.
In most cases Tamerx Diesel Products only needs one address, as long as your product is shipping to the same location as your billing information. In order to eliminate credit card fraud, your billing information must match the credit card you provide.

The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.

As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The Volvo D11 Crankcase Breather (OEM 22999818) is a vital component in ensuring your engine operates efficiently by maintaining proper pressure and ventilation in the crankcase. Designed for Volvo D11 engines from 2014 to 2019, this breather helps reduce internal engine pressure and prevent oil leaks, protecting your engine’s long-term health. In this blog, we’ll explore how this crankcase breather works and provide tips on how to maintain it for optimal performance.

Key Functions of the Volvo D11 Crankcase Breather:

  • Controls Pressure
    • The crankcase breather regulates internal pressure, allowing gases to escape without causing oil leaks or damage to seals.
  • OEM Quality
    • As a genuine Volvo part (OEM 22999818), this crankcase breather is built to meet strict quality standards, ensuring compatibility and reliable performance for Volvo D11 engines.
  • Prevents Contamination
    • By filtering the gases that are released, the crankcase breather prevents harmful contaminants from entering the engine, which can affect engine efficiency.

Maintenance Tips for Crankcase Breathers:

  • Regular Inspections
    • Periodically inspect the crankcase breather for signs of clogs, oil buildup, or wear. Replacing a clogged or damaged breather can prevent pressure imbalances and protect your engine.
  • Keep the Breather Clean
    • Ensure that the breather remains free from excessive dirt and debris to allow optimal ventilation and airflow.
  • Replace When Necessary
    •  If you notice excessive oil leaks or higher crankcase pressure, it may be time to replace the breather with an OEM 22999818 part to restore proper engine function.
  • Monitor Engine Health
    • Pay attention to any warning signs such as increased engine pressure or oil leaks, as these can be indicators that the breather needs to be serviced or replaced.

The Volvo D11 Crankcase Breather (OEM 22999818) plays an important role in maintaining proper engine ventilation, reducing pressure, and preventing oil leaks. Regular inspections and maintenance will help ensure the long-term health of your engine. Trust TamerX Diesel Parts for high-quality OEM components to keep your Volvo D11 engine running smoothly.

The crankcase breather is a crucial component of your vehicle's engine ventilation system, responsible for releasing excess pressure and allowing gases to escape. If the crankcase breather becomes blocked, it can lead to a range of engine issues that impact performance and efficiency. Understanding the effects of a blocked crankcase breather can help you address the problem early and avoid costly repairs.

Consequences of a Blocked Crankcase Breather:

  • Increased Engine Pressure

    • When the breather is blocked, the pressure inside the crankcase builds up. This excessive pressure can cause oil seals and gaskets to fail, leading to oil leaks.

  • Poor Engine Performance

    •  A blocked breather can disrupt the engine's air-fuel mixture, resulting in poor performance, rough idling, and reduced power during acceleration.

  • Oil Contamination

    • The buildup of gases and pressure can cause oil to become contaminated with moisture and fuel vapors, leading to sludgy oil that reduces lubrication efficiency.

  • Excessive Oil Consumption

    • Blocked crankcase ventilation can cause oil to be forced into the combustion chamber, leading to increased oil consumption and visible blue smoke from the exhaust.

  • Increased Emissions

    • A blocked breather can prevent proper ventilation of gases, leading to higher emissions and potentially causing your vehicle to fail emissions tests.

  • Engine Overheating

    •  The extra pressure in the crankcase can raise engine temperatures, increasing the risk of overheating, which can damage internal components.

A blocked crankcase breather can result in increased engine pressure, poor performance, oil leaks, and higher emissions. Addressing this issue early by cleaning or replacing the breather will help maintain your engine’s efficiency and prevent serious damage. Regular inspections of the breather system as part of routine maintenance will keep your engine running smoothly and prolong its lifespan.
