Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The Volvo D11 and D13 engines are renowned for their durability and performance, making them a popular choice for heavy-duty trucking. One crucial component in maintaining these engines' efficiency and compliance with emission standards is the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) doser injector. Specifically, the Volvo D11, D13 DEF Doser Injector for model years 2008-2016, OEM 22391565, plays a vital role in reducing harmful emissions and ensuring the proper functioning of the aftertreatment system.

  • Function and Importance:

    • The DEF doser injector is responsible for injecting a precise amount of DEF into the exhaust stream. This fluid reacts with the nitrogen oxides in the exhaust, converting them into harmless nitrogen and water vapor. This process is essential for meeting stringent emission standards and maintaining engine performance.
  • OEM Specifications:

    • The OEM 22391565 injector is designed to fit Volvo D11 and D13 engines from 2008 to 2016. It is a genuine part, ensuring compatibility and reliability. The injector operates on a 12-volt system and includes necessary components like gaskets and seals for installation.
  • Benefits of Using OEM Parts:

    • Using an OEM part like the 22391565 ensures that the injector will fit perfectly and function as intended. OEM parts are rigorously tested for quality and performance, providing peace of mind that the part will last and perform under demanding conditions.
  • Installation and Maintenance:

    • Installing the DEF doser injector is straightforward, thanks to its precise design that matches the engine's specifications. Regular maintenance, including checking for leaks and ensuring the DEF fluid is of high quality, is crucial for the injector's longevity and optimal performance.
  • Common Issues and Solutions:

    • Some common issues with DEF injectors include clogging or malfunction due to poor-quality DEF fluid. Regular inspection and using high-quality DEF fluid can prevent these problems. If the injector fails, it is vital to replace it promptly to avoid increased emissions and potential fines.

Maintaining the DEF doser injector in your Volvo D11 or D13 engine is essential for compliance with emission regulations and ensuring your vehicle runs efficiently. The OEM 22391565 part is a reliable choice that offers compatibility, performance, and peace of mind. By using genuine parts and adhering to regular maintenance schedules, you can keep your engine performing at its best while contributing to a cleaner environment. For the best results, always choose quality parts like the Volvo D11, D13 DEF Doser Injector 2008-2016, OEM 22391565.

The Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) doser injector plays a crucial role in modern diesel engines by reducing nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions through selective catalytic reduction (SCR). When the DEF doser injector malfunctions, it can lead to increased emissions, engine performance issues, and potentially expensive repairs. Testing the DEF doser injector is essential to ensure it is functioning correctly. Here’s a guide on how to test if the DEF doser injector is bad.

Steps to Test a DEF Doser Injector

  • Visual Inspection

    • Begin with a visual inspection of the DEF doser injector. Check for signs of damage, corrosion, or crystallized DEF around the injector nozzle. Any visible defects may indicate that the injector is not functioning properly.

  • Check for Fault Codes

    • Use an OBD-II scanner to check for diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). Common codes related to the DEF system include P20E8 (Reductant Pressure Too Low), P204F (Reductant System Performance), and P20BA (Reductant Heater Control Circuit/Open). These codes can help identify issues with the DEF doser injector or related components.

  • Injector Function Test

    • Perform an injector function test using a diagnostic tool. This test activates the DEF doser injector to verify if it sprays DEF correctly. You should see a fine mist of DEF coming from the injector nozzle. If the injector does not spray or the spray pattern is irregular, the injector may be faulty.

  • Check DEF Supply Line

    • Ensure that the DEF supply line is not clogged or damaged. A restricted supply line can prevent the injector from receiving the proper amount of DEF, leading to malfunction. Clean or replace the supply line if necessary.

  • Measure DEF Pressure

    • Use a pressure gauge to measure the DEF pressure in the system. The pressure should be within the manufacturer’s specified range. Low pressure can indicate a problem with the DEF pump or a clogged injector, while high pressure can suggest a blockage or malfunction in the injector.

  • Monitor NOx Sensor Readings

    • After performing the tests, monitor the NOx sensor readings. A properly functioning DEF doser injector will reduce NOx levels in the exhaust. If the NOx levels remain high, it could indicate that the DEF doser injector is not injecting DEF correctly.

Maintaining the health of your DEF doser injector is essential for optimal engine performance and compliance with emission standards. Regular inspections and timely replacements can prevent issues and ensure that your vehicle remains environmentally friendly.

In conclusion, testing the DEF doser injector involves a combination of visual inspections, checking for fault codes, performing function tests, inspecting the DEF supply line, measuring DEF pressure, and monitoring NOx sensor readings. Recognizing and addressing issues early can help maintain the efficiency of your DEF system and ensure your engine runs smoothly while meeting emission standards. Regular maintenance and professional diagnostics are key to keeping your DEF doser injector in good working condition.
