The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) doser injector plays a key role in reducing harmful emissions from diesel engines by injecting precise amounts of DEF into the exhaust stream. For Mack MP7 and MP8 engines, the OEM 22391563 DEF doser injector ensures compliance with emissions standards while keeping the engine running efficiently. In this blog, we will discuss the function of the DEF doser injector and why it’s vital for your engine’s performance and environmental impact.

Key Functions of the Mack MP7, MP8 DEF Doser Injector (OEM 22391563):

  • Reduces Harmful Emissions

    • The DEF doser injector introduces the necessary amount of DEF into the exhaust system, where it breaks down nitrogen oxides (NOx) into harmless nitrogen and water. This process helps reduce the environmental impact of the engine.

  • Ensures Compliance with Emissions Standards

    • For engines like the Mack MP7 and MP8, meeting emissions regulations is crucial. The DEF doser injector helps your engine comply with strict EPA standards, ensuring it runs legally and efficiently.

  • Optimizes Engine Efficiency

    • By regulating the DEF flow, the injector helps maintain the optimal operation of the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system, improving the overall fuel efficiency of your engine.

  • Prevents System Clogging

    • A properly functioning DEF doser injector prevents crystallization and clogging in the exhaust system, which can lead to reduced performance and costly repairs.

  • Specifically Designed for Mack MP7 and MP8 Engines

    • The OEM 22391563 is tailored for Mack MP7 and MP8 engines, ensuring a precise fit and reliable performance for 2008-2016 models.

The Mack MP7, MP8 DEF Doser Injector (OEM 22391563) is essential for reducing emissions, optimizing fuel efficiency, and maintaining compliance with environmental regulations. Proper maintenance or timely replacement of this component is critical to keeping your engine running efficiently. TamerX Diesel Parts offers high-quality OEM DEF doser injectors to help your Mack MP7 or MP8 engine meet emissions standards and perform at its best.

The DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) doser injector plays a crucial role in reducing emissions by injecting DEF into the exhaust stream, helping break down harmful nitrogen oxides. However, when the DEF doser injector fails, it can lead to emission system problems and reduced engine performance. In this blog, we’ll explore the common causes of DEF doser injector failure and how these issues can affect your vehicle.

Common Causes of DEF Doser Injector Failure:

  • Contaminated DEF Fluid

    •  One of the leading causes of DEF doser injector failure is the use of contaminated or poor-quality DEF fluid. Dirt, debris, or impurities in the DEF can clog the injector, reducing its efficiency or causing it to fail entirely.

  • Crystallization

    • DEF contains urea, which can crystallize over time if not properly maintained. These crystals can build up in the injector, obstructing the flow of DEF and preventing the injector from functioning correctly.

  • Frequent Short Trips

    • Vehicles that are frequently driven on short trips may not reach the required operating temperatures for the DEF system to function properly. This can cause incomplete fluid injection and buildup in the injector, leading to failure.

  • Electrical Issues

    • The DEF doser injector relies on electrical signals to operate. Electrical issues such as damaged wiring, poor connections, or a failing sensor can interfere with the injector’s performance and cause it to malfunction.

  • Excessive Heat Exposure

    • Overheating can degrade the DEF doser injector’s internal components. High exhaust temperatures, often caused by heavy loads or poor vehicle maintenance, can damage the injector over time.

  • Lack of Regular Maintenance

    • Skipping regular maintenance tasks such as replacing DEF filters or failing to use fresh DEF fluid can put undue stress on the injector. Over time, this can lead to clogging, crystallization, and eventual injector failure.

A DEF doser injector can fail due to contaminated DEF fluid, crystallization, frequent short trips, electrical issues, or excessive heat exposure. Regular maintenance, including using high-quality DEF and inspecting electrical connections, can help prolong the life of your injector. If you notice warning signs such as poor engine performance or emissions-related faults, it’s crucial to have your DEF system inspected and repaired to avoid further complications.
