The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The Volvo D11, D13 EGR Temperature Sensor (OEM 211225020) is an integral part of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system. This sensor helps monitor the temperature of exhaust gases flowing through the EGR system, ensuring that emissions are properly managed and the engine runs efficiently. Without a functional EGR temperature sensor, your engine could experience issues ranging from poor performance to increased emissions. In this blog, we will focus on the role of this sensor and why replacing a faulty one is crucial for maintaining your Volvo D11 or D13 engine.

Key Functions of the Volvo D11, D13 EGR Temperature Sensor:

  • Monitors Exhaust Gas Temperature

    •  This sensor keeps track of the temperature of gases recirculated back into the engine, helping maintain the ideal temperature for optimal performance.

  • Supports Emissions Control

    • The EGR temperature sensor works with the EGR system to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions, ensuring the engine complies with environmental regulations.

  • Prevents Overheating

    • By monitoring the exhaust gas temperature, this sensor helps prevent the engine from overheating, protecting vital components from damage.

  • Improves Engine Efficiency

    •  A functional EGR temperature sensor ensures that the recirculated exhaust gas is at the correct temperature, improving fuel efficiency and overall engine performance.

The Volvo D11, D13 EGR Temperature Sensor (OEM 211225020) plays a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and emissions control of your engine. Replacing a failing sensor can restore proper engine function and help keep your vehicle compliant with emissions standards. At TamerX Diesel Parts, we offer high-quality EGR temperature sensors to ensure your engine operates smoothly and efficiently. Don't wait for small issues to turn into major problems—keep your EGR system in top shape with the right parts.

The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) temperature sensor plays a crucial role in maintaining your vehicle's emissions system and ensuring optimal engine performance. It monitors the temperature of exhaust gases recirculated into the engine, which helps control emissions and improve fuel efficiency. When this sensor begins to fail, it can lead to a range of issues affecting both performance and emissions. In this blog, we'll discuss the common symptoms of a failing EGR temperature sensor and why it's important to address these problems promptly.

  • Check Engine Light

    • One of the most noticeable symptoms of a failing EGR temperature sensor is the illumination of the check engine light on your dashboard. This light activates when the sensor detects abnormal temperatures or fails to function correctly, triggering the vehicle’s diagnostic system.

  • Increased Emissions

    • A malfunctioning EGR temperature sensor can cause improper regulation of the EGR system, leading to increased exhaust emissions. You might notice a rise in pollutants, which can impact your vehicle’s environmental performance and cause it to fail emissions tests.

  • Reduced Engine Performance

    •  If the EGR temperature sensor is not working correctly, it can disrupt the engine's air-fuel mixture and combustion process. This often results in reduced engine power, sluggish acceleration, and overall poor performance.

  • Poor Fuel Economy

    • A failing EGR temperature sensor can cause the engine to run inefficiently, leading to a decrease in fuel economy. You may experience more frequent trips to the gas station as your vehicle consumes more fuel than usual.

  • Engine Knocking or Ping

    •  Erratic temperature readings from a faulty sensor can lead to improper combustion, causing engine knocking or pinging. This abnormal noise occurs when the air-fuel mixture detonates prematurely in the engine.

  • Rough Idling

    • A bad EGR temperature sensor can result in unstable engine idle. You may notice that your engine idles roughly or fluctuates when stopped, indicating a problem with the EGR system's regulation.

  • Overheating Engine

    •  In some cases, a malfunctioning EGR temperature sensor can lead to engine overheating. The sensor’s inability to accurately monitor exhaust temperatures can affect the engine’s cooling system, causing it to overheat.

Identifying and addressing the symptoms of a failing EGR temperature sensor early on can prevent more severe engine issues and ensure your vehicle runs efficiently. If you notice any of the signs mentioned above, it's crucial to have your sensor inspected and replaced by a professional. Maintaining a properly functioning EGR system not only enhances your vehicle's performance but also helps reduce its environmental impact.
