The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.
Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.
Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".
If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.
As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.
What is a Core Charge?
A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.
30 Day Core Charge Hold
You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The Paccar MX13 engine, used in many heavy-duty trucks from 2008 to 2016, relies on a high-quality EGR gasket to maintain optimal performance and emissions control. The OEM 1782988PE EGR gasket is a critical component that ensures the engine operates efficiently and meets environmental standards.
What is the EGR Gasket?
The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) gasket is a vital part of the EGR system, which reduces nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions by recirculating a portion of the engine's exhaust gas back into the intake manifold. This process lowers combustion temperatures and helps the engine run cleaner.
Functions of the Paccar MX13 EGR Gasket:
- Seals the EGR System
- The gasket creates a secure seal between the EGR valve and the intake manifold, preventing exhaust gas leaks.
- Maintains Engine Performance
- By ensuring a proper seal, the gasket helps maintain optimal air-to-fuel ratio, which is crucial for engine efficiency.
- Reduces Emissions
- Proper functioning of the EGR system lowers harmful emissions, contributing to a cleaner environment.
- Prevents Engine Damage
- A faulty EGR gasket can lead to exhaust leaks, which may cause engine overheating and other significant issues.
Key Benefits of OEM 1782988PE EGR Gasket:
- High-Quality Material
- Made from durable materials to withstand high temperatures and pressure.
- Precision Fit
- Designed specifically for the Paccar MX13 engine, ensuring a perfect fit and reliable performance.
- Long-lasting
- Engineered for longevity, reducing the need for frequent replacements.
The Paccar MX13 EGR gasket OEM 1782988PE is essential for maintaining the efficiency and environmental compliance of your truck's engine. Regular inspection and timely replacement of the EGR gasket can prevent costly repairs and ensure your engine runs smoothly. Regular maintenance of your vehicle is crucial to its performance and longevity. One often overlooked component is the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) gasket. Understanding when and why to replace this gasket can save you from costly repairs and improve your engine’s efficiency.
Importance of the EGR Gasket
The EGR gasket is a critical part of your vehicle’s emission system. It ensures a proper seal between the EGR valve and the intake manifold, preventing exhaust gas leaks. Over time, the gasket can wear out due to constant exposure to high temperatures and exhaust gases.
Signs Your EGR Gasket Needs Replacement
To avoid engine problems, keep an eye out for these symptoms indicating a failing EGR gasket:
- Check Engine Light
- An illuminated light can signal a range of issues, including a faulty EGR gasket.
- Reduced Engine Performance
- If your vehicle is experiencing loss of power or poor acceleration, the EGR gasket might be compromised.
- Unusual Noises
- Listen for knocking or pinging sounds from the engine, which can be a sign of exhaust gas leaks.
Replacement Interval
While there is no set interval for replacing the EGR gasket, it is generally recommended to inspect it during regular maintenance checks, especially if your vehicle has high mileage or is frequently used in harsh conditions. As a rule of thumb:
- Inspect Every 30,000 Miles
- Check the EGR gasket’s condition during routine service.
- Replace Every 50,000 Miles
- If signs of wear are evident, replace the gasket to maintain optimal performance.
Keeping your EGR gasket in good condition is essential for your vehicle’s health. Regular inspections and timely replacements can prevent engine issues and ensure your vehicle runs smoothly.
