As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

In any engine, timing is everything. The cam and crank position sensors are crucial components that ensure your engine's timing is precise, which is essential for optimal performance and fuel efficiency. In this blog, we will focus on the role of the Isuzu 4HK1, 6HK1 Cam Crank Position Sensor 2004-2015, OEM 8973061131, and how it contributes to maintaining your engine’s timing accuracy.

The Role of Cam and Crank Position Sensors in Engine Timing

The cam and crank position sensors work together to monitor the positions of the camshaft and crankshaft. This data is sent to the engine control unit (ECU), which uses it to adjust ignition timing and fuel injection. The Isuzu 4HK1, 6HK1 Cam Crank Position Sensor, OEM 8973061131, plays a pivotal role in this process. Here’s how this sensor benefits your engine:

  • Maintains Accurate Timing

    •  The primary function of the cam crank position sensor is to ensure that the camshaft and crankshaft are synchronized. This synchronization is critical for accurate engine timing, which affects everything from ignition to fuel injection.

  • Enhances Engine Performance

    • With precise timing, the engine can perform at its best, delivering optimal power and efficiency. The OEM 8973061131 sensor ensures that your Isuzu 4HK1 or 6HK1 engine runs smoothly, with minimal risk of misfires or power loss.

  • Improves Fuel Efficiency

    • Accurate timing not only enhances performance but also improves fuel efficiency. By ensuring that fuel is injected at the right moment, the sensor helps the engine burn fuel more efficiently, reducing fuel consumption and operating costs.

  • Prevents Engine Damage

    •  A malfunctioning cam crank position sensor can lead to incorrect timing, which can cause engine damage over time. By using a reliable sensor like the OEM 8973061131, you reduce the risk of engine misfires and potential damage, ensuring the longevity of your engine.

Why Choose OEM 8973061131?

Choosing the Isuzu 4HK1, 6HK1 Cam Crank Position Sensor, OEM 8973061131, ensures that you’re getting a part designed to meet the exact specifications of your engine. OEM parts offer superior compatibility and reliability, providing peace of mind that your engine’s timing will be accurate and consistent.

The Isuzu 4HK1, 6HK1 Cam Crank Position Sensor 2004-2015: OEM 8973061131 is a vital component for maintaining precise engine timing, which is crucial for performance, fuel efficiency, and engine longevity. By ensuring accurate synchronization of the camshaft and crankshaft, this sensor helps your engine run smoothly and efficiently. Invest in the right sensor to keep your Isuzu engine performing at its peak, mile after mile.

The camshaft and crankshaft position sensors are critical components in your vehicle’s engine management system, responsible for monitoring the position and speed of the camshaft and crankshaft. These sensors provide essential data to the engine control unit (ECU) to ensure proper timing of fuel injection and ignition. When these sensors fail, it can lead to a range of engine performance issues. Understanding what causes a cam or crank position sensor to fail can help you prevent potential problems and maintain the reliability of your engine.

  • Electrical Issues

    • The camshaft and crankshaft position sensors rely on electrical signals to communicate with the ECU. Wiring problems, such as damaged or corroded connectors, short circuits, or frayed wires, can disrupt this communication, leading to sensor failure.

  • Heat Damage

    • These sensors are often located in areas of the engine that are exposed to high temperatures. Prolonged exposure to excessive heat can cause the sensors’ internal components to degrade or the housing to crack, resulting in failure.

  • Mechanical Wear and Tear

    • Over time, the camshaft and crankshaft position sensors can wear out due to continuous use. The internal components, such as the magnetic core or the sensor’s circuitry, may deteriorate, leading to inaccurate readings or complete failure.

  • Oil Contamination

    • Oil leaks from nearby engine components can contaminate the sensors, leading to malfunction. Oil contamination can interfere with the sensors’ ability to accurately detect the position and speed of the camshaft or crankshaft, causing erratic engine behavior.

  • Vibration and Impact Damage

    • The engine produces vibrations that, over time, can affect the integrity of the camshaft and crankshaft position sensors. Additionally, if the vehicle experiences a significant impact, such as during an accident, the sensors can become damaged or misaligned.

Understanding the common causes of camshaft and crankshaft position sensor failure—such as electrical issues, heat damage, mechanical wear, oil contamination, and vibration—can help you take preventive measures to protect these vital components. Regular inspection and maintenance of your vehicle’s engine and electrical system can ensure these sensors remain in good working condition, preventing unexpected breakdowns and ensuring your engine runs smoothly. By staying vigilant and addressing potential issues early, you can maintain the reliability and performance of your vehicle for the long haul.
