The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.

As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

Effective emission control and engine efficiency are crucial for the performance and longevity of your diesel engine. For International Navistar MaxxForce 13 engines from 2011 to 2016, the EGR Gaskets, OEM 3013199C1, play an essential role in the exhaust gas recirculation system. In this blog, we will explore how these EGR gaskets contribute to your engine’s performance and compliance with emission standards.

The Role of EGR Gaskets

EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) gaskets are vital components that ensure the integrity of the EGR system. They provide a secure seal between various components, preventing exhaust gas leaks and maintaining the system's efficiency. Here are some key points about the role of EGR gaskets:

  • Sealing Function
    • EGR gaskets create a tight seal between EGR components, preventing leaks that can compromise the system's effectiveness and lead to increased emissions.
  • Emission Reduction
    • By ensuring a secure seal, EGR gaskets help recirculate a portion of exhaust gases back into the combustion chamber, reducing nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions.
  • Engine Performance
    • Properly functioning EGR gaskets ensure that the EGR system operates efficiently, maintaining optimal engine performance and fuel economy.
  • Durability
    •  High-quality EGR gaskets are designed to withstand the high temperatures and pressures within the exhaust system, ensuring long-lasting performance and reliability.
  • Compliance
    • Using the correct EGR gaskets helps keep your engine compliant with environmental regulations, avoiding fines and ensuring your vehicle meets emission standards.

Benefits of Using the OEM 3013199C1 EGR Gaskets

The EGR Gaskets, OEM 3013199C1, play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the EGR system. By providing a tight seal, they help reduce emissions, improve engine performance, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Invest in the OEM 3013199C1 EGR gaskets to keep your MaxxForce 13 engine running efficiently and reliably. Enhance your engine’s emission control and performance with the right EGR gaskets.

The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) gasket is essential for sealing the EGR valve to the intake manifold, ensuring proper exhaust gas recirculation to reduce emissions. When this gasket leaks, it can lead to various engine performance issues. In this blog, we will discuss how to test for a leaking EGR gasket, helping you identify and address the problem promptly.

A leaking EGR gasket can cause engine performance problems, increased emissions, and potential engine damage. Identifying a leak early can prevent these issues and ensure your vehicle runs smoothly. This guide will walk you through the steps to test for a leaking EGR gasket, allowing you to maintain optimal engine performance and emissions control.

  • Visual Inspection
    • Start with a visual inspection of the EGR gasket area. Look for signs of soot, carbon buildup, or wet spots around the gasket, which can indicate a leak. Also, check for any loose bolts or damaged components.
  • Listen for Hissing Sounds
    • With the engine running, listen for hissing sounds near the EGR valve and gasket area. A hissing sound often indicates that exhaust gases are escaping through a leak.
  • Use a Smoke Machine
    • A smoke machine can help detect leaks in the EGR system. Introduce smoke into the intake manifold and observe if any smoke escapes from the EGR gasket area, indicating a leak.
  • Check for Exhaust Smell
    •  A leaking EGR gasket can cause an exhaust smell in the engine compartment or inside the vehicle. If you detect a strong exhaust odor, it could be a sign of a gasket leak.
  • Monitor Engine Performance
    • Pay attention to any changes in engine performance, such as rough idling, hesitation, or reduced power. These symptoms can be associated with a leaking EGR gasket affecting the exhaust gas recirculation process.
  • Scan for Error Codes
    •  Use an OBD-II scanner to check for error codes related to the EGR system. Codes such as P0401 (insufficient EGR flow) or P0402 (excessive EGR flow) can indicate problems that may be caused by a leaking gasket.
  • Inspect Engine Coolant
    • In some cases, a leaking EGR gasket can cause coolant to enter the exhaust system. Check your engine coolant for signs of contamination, such as discoloration or unusual consistency.

In summary, testing for a leaking EGR gasket involves a combination of visual inspection, listening for hissing sounds, using a smoke machine, checking for exhaust smells, monitoring engine performance, scanning for error codes, and inspecting the engine coolant. Identifying a leak early can help prevent further engine damage and maintain optimal performance. If you suspect a leaking EGR gasket, it’s essential to address the issue promptly by seeking professional diagnostics and repair. Regular maintenance and timely inspections can ensure your EGR system functions efficiently, keeping your vehicle running smoothly and reducing harmful emissions.
