The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The fuel rail is a vital component in the fuel delivery system, ensuring that fuel is supplied consistently and at the correct pressure to the injectors. The Ford Powerstroke 6.7L Fuel Rail, OEM BC3Z-9D280A, designed for models from 2011 to 2020, helps optimize engine performance by maintaining a steady fuel supply. In this blog, we’ll explore the function of the fuel rail and why it’s essential for keeping your engine running efficiently.

Key Functions of the Ford Powerstroke 6.7L Fuel Rail

  • Distributes Fuel to Injectors
    •  The OEM BC3Z-9D280A fuel rail ensures that fuel is evenly distributed to each injector, allowing for precise fuel delivery to the combustion chamber.
  • Maintains Consistent Fuel Pressure
    • The fuel rail helps regulate fuel pressure, ensuring that the injectors receive a consistent flow of fuel, which is crucial for efficient combustion.
  • Supports Engine Performance
    • With proper fuel delivery, the engine can maintain steady power output and smooth operation, reducing issues like rough idling or misfires.
  • Reduces the Risk of Fuel Leaks
    • A well-functioning fuel rail prevents fuel leaks, which could lead to engine inefficiencies or potential safety hazards.
  • Enhances Fuel Efficiency
    •  By providing a stable and consistent fuel supply, the fuel rail helps optimize fuel consumption, contributing to better fuel economy.

Maintenance Tips for the Ford Powerstroke 6.7L Fuel Rail

  • Inspect Regularly for Signs of Wear or Leaks
    • Regular inspections can help detect any issues early, such as fuel leaks, rust, or damage to the rail.
  • Monitor Fuel Pressure
    • Keeping an eye on the fuel pressure can help detect problems in the fuel system that could affect the rail's performance.
  • Use High-Quality Fuel
    • High-quality diesel fuel helps prevent clogging and keeps the entire fuel system, including the rail, in good condition.
  • Replace When Necessary
    •  If you notice symptoms such as inconsistent fuel pressure, poor engine performance, or visible damage, consider replacing the fuel rail with the OEM BC3Z-9D280A.

The Ford Powerstroke 6.7L Fuel Rail OEM BC3Z-9D280A is crucial for maintaining efficient fuel delivery, supporting engine performance, and ensuring fuel system reliability. Regular maintenance and timely replacement will keep your engine running smoothly. TamerX Diesel Parts offers high-quality OEM fuel rails to help maintain the performance and longevity of your Ford Powerstroke 6.7L engine.

The fuel rail is a crucial component of your vehicle's fuel system, responsible for delivering a steady supply of fuel to the fuel injectors. When a fuel rail gets clogged, it disrupts the fuel flow to the engine, leading to a variety of performance issues. Understanding what happens when a fuel rail gets clogged can help you identify the problem early and prevent further damage to your engine.

  • Engine Misfires

    • A clogged fuel rail can cause inconsistent fuel delivery to the engine, leading to misfires. When the engine does not receive the proper amount of fuel, it can struggle to run smoothly, resulting in rough idling, hesitation, or stalling.

  • Reduced Fuel Efficiency

    •  When the fuel rail is clogged, the engine may not operate at its optimal efficiency. This can cause the vehicle to consume more fuel than necessary, resulting in poor fuel economy and increased trips to the gas station.

  • Loss of Engine Power

    •  Insufficient fuel supply due to a clogged fuel rail can lead to a noticeable decrease in engine power. The engine may struggle to accelerate, especially under load or at higher speeds, as it does not receive enough fuel to generate the necessary power.

  • Hard Starting

    •  If the fuel rail is clogged, it may take longer for the engine to start, or it may fail to start altogether. This happens because the fuel needed to ignite the engine is not reaching the combustion chamber in adequate amounts.

  • Increased Emissions

    •  A clogged fuel rail can disrupt the air-fuel mixture, leading to incomplete combustion. This can result in higher levels of harmful emissions, causing your vehicle to fail emissions tests and contribute to environmental pollution.

  • Check Engine Light Activation

    •  A clogged fuel rail can trigger the check engine light. The vehicle's onboard diagnostics may detect issues such as misfires, low fuel pressure, or poor fuel delivery, prompting a warning light on the dashboard.

  • Potential Fuel Injector Damage:

    • When the fuel rail is clogged, it can put extra strain on the fuel injectors as they struggle to compensate for the inconsistent fuel supply. Over time, this can cause damage to the injectors, leading to further engine problems and costly repairs.

A clogged fuel rail can significantly impact your vehicle's performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions. Recognizing the symptoms early—such as engine misfires, loss of power, and hard starting—can help you address the issue before it leads to more extensive damage. Regular maintenance, including cleaning the fuel system and using high-quality fuel, can help prevent fuel rail clogs and keep your engine running smoothly.
