SHIPPING POLICY

Tamerx Diesel Products ships via UPS Ground. Next day air shipping can be arranged for a reasonable price of anywhere from $50.00 - $100.00 depending on the weight of the product and your location. We will do everything we can to make sure that you get the service you need. We understand how important it is to receive your order as quickly as possible.
In most cases Tamerx Diesel Products only needs one address, as long as your product is shipping to the same location as your billing information. In order to eliminate credit card fraud, your billing information must match the credit card you provide.

The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.

As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

O-rings play a crucial role in diesel engines by preventing fluid leaks and maintaining the integrity of the fuel system. For the Cummins X12 engine, the OEM 5445824 Fuel Pump O-Ring is designed to seal connections within the fuel pump assembly. Let’s explore the essential functions of this O-ring and why regular maintenance is key to preventing engine issues.

Key Functions of the Cummins X12 Fuel Pump O-Ring (OEM 5445824):

  • Seals Fuel Pump Connections

    • The primary purpose of the O-ring is to create a tight seal within the fuel pump assembly. This prevents fuel leaks that can lead to reduced efficiency or potential safety hazards.

  • Maintains Proper Fuel Pressure

    • A secure seal provided by the O-ring helps maintain consistent fuel pressure in the system. This consistency is essential for efficient fuel injection and optimal engine performance.

  • Prevents Contamination

    • By sealing off critical areas of the fuel pump, the O-ring prevents contaminants from entering the system. This helps in reducing wear on the fuel pump and other engine components, extending their lifespan.

  • Reduces Engine Stress

    • A leaking or damaged O-ring can cause fluctuations in fuel pressure, leading to engine misfires or poor performance. The OEM 5445824 O-ring is designed to withstand high pressures and temperatures, providing reliable sealing and reducing stress on the fuel system.

  • Compatible with Cummins X12 Engines

    • Specifically designed for Cummins X12 engines from 2018 to 2022, this OEM O-ring ensures a precise fit, offering durability and reliability even in demanding conditions.

The Cummins X12 Fuel Pump O-Ring (OEM 5445824) may be a small part, but it plays a crucial role in preventing leaks, maintaining fuel pressure, and protecting the engine from contamination. Regular inspection and timely replacement of this O-ring can help avoid costly repairs and ensure your engine runs smoothly. At TamerX Diesel Parts, we provide high-quality OEM O-rings to keep your Cummins X12 engine efficient and reliable for years to come.

Fuel pump O-rings are small but essential components in your vehicle’s fuel system. These rings provide a tight seal to prevent fuel leaks and maintain proper pressure within the fuel pump. However, over time, O-rings can wear out or become damaged, leading to issues such as fuel leaks and decreased fuel system efficiency. Understanding the common causes of fuel pump O-ring failure can help you take preventative measures and ensure your vehicle runs smoothly. In this blog, we’ll explore the factors that contribute to fuel pump O-ring failure.

Common Causes of Fuel Pump O-Ring Failure:

  • Age and Wear

    • O-rings are made of rubber or synthetic materials that can degrade over time due to continuous exposure to fuel, pressure, and engine heat. As the O-rings age, they can become brittle or hard, causing them to lose their sealing ability and leading to fuel leaks.

  • Exposure to Heat

    •  The fuel pump is typically located near the engine or within the fuel tank, exposing the O-rings to constant temperature fluctuations. High heat can cause the O-rings to shrink, crack, or deteriorate, especially in vehicles that frequently operate in hot climates.

  • Fuel Contamination

    • Contaminated or poor-quality fuel can contribute to the degradation of O-rings. Chemical contaminants or impurities in the fuel can break down the material of the O-rings, causing them to lose elasticity and fail prematurely.

  • Incorrect Installation

    •  Improper installation of O-rings, such as incorrect alignment or inadequate lubrication during installation, can cause damage to the rings. Misaligned or pinched O-rings are more prone to failure due to uneven pressure or friction.

  • Material Incompatibility

    • Not all O-rings are made from the same material, and using the wrong type of O-ring for your fuel pump can lead to premature failure. Certain O-ring materials may not be resistant to the chemicals found in modern fuels, causing them to degrade quickly.

  • Excessive Pressure or Vibration

    • High-pressure fuel systems or excessive vibrations can put extra strain on O-rings, leading to wear and tear over time. Repeated exposure to these conditions can cause the O-rings to lose their sealing capability.

Fuel pump O-rings can fail due to age and wear, exposure to heat, fuel contamination, incorrect installation, material incompatibility, and excessive pressure or vibration. Recognizing these factors can help you take proactive steps to prevent O-ring failure, such as using high-quality fuel, performing regular inspections, and ensuring proper installation. By maintaining your vehicle’s fuel system and addressing issues early, you can avoid fuel leaks and costly repairs while keeping your engine running efficiently. Regular maintenance and using the correct O-rings for your specific fuel system are key to ensuring a reliable and safe driving experience.
