We will do everything we can to make sure that you get the service you need. We understand how important it is to receive your order as quickly as possible.
In most cases Tamerx Diesel Products only needs one address, as long as your product is shipping to the same location as your billing information. In order to eliminate credit card fraud, your billing information must match the credit card you provide.

The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

Fuel lift pumps play a crucial role in ensuring that fuel is delivered from the tank to the engine smoothly and efficiently. However, like any mechanical component, lift pumps can fail over time, leading to various engine performance issues. In this blog, we will explore the common causes of fuel lift pump failure and how to prevent them to maintain your vehicle’s performance.

The fuel lift pump is an essential component in diesel engines, responsible for transporting fuel from the tank to the injection system. When this pump fails, it can lead to a range of problems, including engine stalling, reduced power, and starting difficulties. Understanding the common causes of fuel lift pump failure can help you take preventative measures to ensure the longevity and reliability of your vehicle.

  • Contaminated Fuel
    •  One of the primary causes of fuel lift pump failure is contaminated fuel. Dirt, debris, and water in the fuel can damage the pump’s internal components, leading to wear and eventual failure.
  • Wear and Tear
    • Over time, the constant use of the fuel lift pump can cause its parts to wear out. This natural degradation can reduce the pump’s efficiency and ultimately lead to failure.
  • Electrical Issues
    • Fuel lift pumps rely on electrical components to operate. Problems such as faulty wiring, blown fuses, or defective relays can interrupt the pump's operation, causing it to fail.
  • Overheating
    •  The fuel lift pump can overheat if it runs continuously without adequate cooling. Overheating can be caused by low fuel levels, clogged fuel filters, or extended periods of heavy use.
  • Poor Installation
    •  Improper installation of the fuel lift pump can lead to misalignment and excessive vibration, which can cause premature wear and failure. Ensuring that the pump is installed correctly is crucial for its longevity.
  • Blocked Fuel Lines
    •  Clogged or blocked fuel lines can force the fuel lift pump to work harder than necessary, leading to increased wear and potential failure. Regular maintenance and fuel line inspections can help prevent this issue.
  • Pump Fatigue
    •  The repetitive motion and constant pressure the pump endures can lead to metal fatigue. This fatigue can cause cracks or breaks in the pump's components, leading to reduced performance and eventual failure.

In summary, understanding the causes of fuel lift pump failure can help you take proactive steps to maintain your vehicle’s performance and avoid costly repairs. Contaminated fuel, wear and tear, electrical issues, overheating, poor installation, blocked fuel lines, and pump fatigue are all common factors that can lead to lift pump failure. Regular maintenance, proper installation, and using high-quality fuel can significantly extend the life of your fuel lift pump. If you suspect that your fuel lift pump is failing, it’s essential to seek professional assistance to diagnose and fix the problem promptly, ensuring your vehicle continues to run smoothly and efficiently.
