Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.
Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".
If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.
What is a Core Charge?
A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.
30 Day Core Charge Hold
You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

A fuel rail block off tool is an essential piece of equipment for diesel engine maintenance and troubleshooting. It is specifically designed to isolate the fuel rail during diagnostic procedures, allowing mechanics to identify and address issues within the fuel system efficiently. In this blog, we will explore the purpose of a fuel rail block off tool and how it benefits diesel engine maintenance.
Maintaining a diesel engine's fuel system is crucial for ensuring optimal performance and longevity. One of the tools that play a significant role in diagnosing and fixing fuel system issues is the fuel rail block off tool. Understanding its purpose and application can help you appreciate its importance in keeping your diesel engine running smoothly and efficiently.
- Isolating the Fuel Rail
- The primary function of a fuel rail block off tool is to isolate the fuel rail from the rest of the fuel system. This isolation is necessary for diagnosing issues such as fuel leaks, injector problems, or pressure irregularities without affecting other components.
- Pressure Testing
- By using a fuel rail block off tool, mechanics can conduct precise pressure tests on the fuel rail. This helps in identifying whether the fuel rail is maintaining the correct pressure, which is critical for the proper functioning of fuel injectors and overall engine performance.
- Identifying Injector Issues
- The tool allows for individual testing of fuel injectors by blocking off specific sections of the fuel rail. This targeted approach helps in pinpointing faulty injectors that may be causing engine misfires, poor fuel economy, or other performance issues.
- Leak Detection
- Fuel rail block off tools are instrumental in detecting leaks within the fuel rail. By isolating the fuel rail, mechanics can observe any drops in pressure that indicate a leak, allowing for timely repairs and preventing fuel loss or potential hazards.
- Maintenance and Repairs
- During routine maintenance or repairs, a fuel rail block off tool can be used to safely isolate the fuel rail, ensuring that fuel does not flow to other parts of the engine. This safety measure helps prevent spills and contamination, making the repair process more efficient and clean.
- Enhancing Diagnostic Accuracy
- The precision offered by fuel rail block off tools enhances the accuracy of diagnostics. By isolating the fuel rail and conducting specific tests, mechanics can accurately identify and address issues, reducing the likelihood of misdiagnosis and ensuring effective repairs.
In summary, the fuel rail block off tool is a vital instrument for maintaining and troubleshooting diesel engines. Its ability to isolate the fuel rail, conduct pressure tests, identify injector issues, detect leaks, and enhance diagnostic accuracy makes it indispensable for mechanics and vehicle owners alike. Regular use of this tool during maintenance and repairs can ensure optimal engine performance, prevent potential issues, and extend the life of your diesel engine. Understanding the purpose and benefits of a fuel rail block off tool can help you appreciate its role in keeping your vehicle running smoothly and efficiently.
